Kudzu : (Doug
Marlette) I have a soft spot in my heart for this comic
strips since I grew up in the south. The strip centers
around a teen boy named Kudzy who lives with his grandmother
and his chocolate-obsessed parakeet Dorris. Other town
folks include the preacher (seen above), Uncle Dub, Maurice,
and the town's snooty chick (whom Kudzu "loves") Veranda.
Those who grew up (or who live) in the south will have a
greater appreciation of this strip but that's just my
opinion. Check it out for yourself.Side Note:
For those who don't know, kudzu is a plant which was
imported into the south (United States) as feed and ended up
becoming a HUGE pest which the animals didn't eat.
